Presidential Fitness Awards: Your Guide to Getting Started

Find the current official student fitness test, award resources, and a supportive way to approach participation.

Understand the current program

The official White House fitness page provides student benchmarks, Presidential and National recognition levels, and a participation certificate. Its current test covers core strength, cardio, and upper-body performance, with a choice of activities within each category. Use the official age and group selector for the actual targets.

The official page links the test guidance and award downloads. Confirm administration, eligibility, and any adaptations with your school or program before participation.

Make recognition encouraging

Ask the educator how practice, accessibility, privacy, and individual progress will be supported. Explain the activity in language the student can understand, and make room for questions. A score should not become a judgment about the child’s body or worth.

Keep the different scores separate

A Presidential fitness result is not a metabolic diagnosis, a funding award, or this website’s Freedom Clarity Score. This site provides an independent resource guide and does not administer or issue Presidential awards.

Connect with local opportunities

Use the state directory for additional participation options. The youth sports assistance guide explains a separate registration-fee support program and its eligibility rules.
